Information about these techniques can often be found on the internet free of charge, and although there is often little or no empirical evidence to support their claims many people still make use of them and report them to be effective. In many cases these techniques are thought to have a placebo effect on the people using them. However, if they have the desired effect then this can surely only be a good thing.
Many people will attempt to treat any mental health problems they have with drugs. However, this is not recommended as in many cases these people will develop a dependency on these medicated treatments.
